Lavery is a unique athletic move when you consider all of the facets of what this video clip demonstrates. For starters his driver has a swing weight of G 5 and the club measures 48 inches. Most golfers can barely get this club around. You can see the flex in the shaft even though it is an X Flex. The lead tape (15 strips) on the driver head gives for a greater lag on the down swing. With research one will realize that Babe Ruth swung the heaviest bat in basaball history (42 ounces) It takes lots of left arm forearm, wrist and shoulder strength to release the right hand as he demonstrates in this video. Lavery does the hammer drills as discussed in his book to have the lumber jack forearms. Because of Lavery’s baseball background and his ambidextrous training methodologies he has fantastic control of the club as it moves through the strike zone and the right hand releases. This release creates a fantastic arc and the head of the club goes out to the target line atleast an additional 15 to 18 inches. This helps the ball to go long and straight or with a nice draw. This technique works for the 3 and 5 woods as well. These clubs too are longer and weighted with lead tape. The irons that are used are Ben Hogan Apex with lead tape on the muscle back. This video has slo motion so that the viewer can see the release of the club and the …

@thegreenhouseman Post your swing. I would be interested in seeing it. Hammer
That almost looks exactly like my swing but i dont lift my front foot and i follow through with both hands and hit 250 – 275 all day long. I thought i was alone.
@JUANPCPRODUCTIONS I was playing along with you. Hammer
@wholebrainplanet Yea I knew it was like fake I was jux trying to make a joke
@JUANPCPRODUCTIONS I can outdrive Adam Sandler any day with his style. You have to realize that Happy Gilmore was a movie. Hammer
I still think Adam Sandler is better!
@geet25 Thanks for the comment. Hammer
bet hes up there with albert pujols
@GunCoppaz Hey thanks. Hammer
haha so stupid. What a hack. At first i thought it was a joke but wow. kudos if u actually got people to buy this
@jaymaynk My swing is all about athleticism and timing. My results are very good. Thanks for the comment. Hammer
I commend you for creating power. But, moving the shoulders to the right and back to the left is difficult to time. Less athletic players, and I would guess you yourself, would have limited success sometimes. It’s just not very repeatable.
@Spencerftw Yes sir! Hammer
baseball much?
@Baddmnkey Those are my thoughts on the matter too. Thanks for the comment. Hammer
doesnt matter what a “swing” looks like as long as its CONSISTENT(repeatable) in the impact area (hip high to hip high) nothing else matters.
@WestBromSte
agreed lol, but if it works it works
Thanks for your comments. I have a two handed follow through as well. Check out some of the other videos that I have posted. Hammer
With those fundamentals you would be good no matter what style you use. You are on plane going back, have tremendous lag, and a great impact position. I’ll bet you would do just the same with a conventional looking backswing and follow through as well. With golf, all that matters is your impact position, with yours it looks great, you must be a good ball striker.
Thanks for your comment. I use a multi faceted approach to playing golf. I practice with all of my clubs with different amounts of power applied. I will send you a clip from my channel showing a short game shot. Subscribe to my channel. I post lots of video. Hammer
@wholebrainplanet
wow your swing really is strong, and your swing plane is amazing even though the takeaway is short. I would like to point out one thing though, how do you handle pitch shots, chip shots or finesse shots? what kind of swing do you do when you have 135 yards strong wind and a 9 iron in hand instead of your normal club ? another question, your swing is powerful, no doubt but can you be as accurate with that swing as a normal swing with less dynamic movement ?
Hey thanks for the comment. I appreciate your thoughts about my unusual technique. Most of golf balls that I hit well have just a slight draw. Alot of it has to do with the hammer drill training. Check out my other videos and please subscribe to my channel. Hammer
His swing plane is perfect though. Almost dead straight on the flight with just a slight draw. It’s what he does through the ball that counts, and the shorter back swing gives additional control so there’s much less chance of the swing breaking down or coming across the ball target line.
I have the proof that my swing works. Look at my videos. Do a bit of research on me. There are articles on the net.
To my knowledge there is no other serious golfer in the world that uses the one handed release swing. It has taken years of baseball playing, hand, wrist and forearm strength training to swing with my method.
I am way outside of the box and enjoy the uniqueness that I exhibit.
280 yards is good for you. I still would be outdriving you by a considerable margin. Hammer
@wholebrainplanet
i cant really argue if it works
but i couldnt imagine standing on the first tee and having my arm fly off the shaft in my follow through
and oh i do hit it a long way anyway
im around 280 on average but with range balls at a range its going to be considerably shorter
