The unfortunate fact is that John Jacobs was not possessed of the full understanding of how the golf swing works; for that you need to consult:-
“The Science of the Golf Swing” – Pelham books, ISBN 7207 0926 3 – written by Dr David Williams – former Deputy Chief Scientific Officer of Farnborough.
Such is the will for collective belief in “whatever we want to believe” that this book is long out of print – you will probably need to fork out several hundred pounds for it now.
HA! Can you imagine Tiger saying that to Phil at the Ryder cup or something!
Wish we had more of it…John Jacobs is one of the great teachers of the past century, and too few people know about him these days. Several of the best teachers around today can trace their lineage directly to him.
