As of 04/01/2010 I’ve started learning a new swing with Ben Hogan golf videos, books and an HD Camcorder. I’m 25 and have been golfing on and off for 3 years. I am finally taking the game serious and am dedicated to learning this new swing. It feels so awkward but the results are already starting to show. I can’t describe how frustrating it can be to throw my old swing into the garbage and start with a clean slate. Thankfully my camcorder and PC are helping greatly watching side by side video comparisons with the Ben Hogan videos and on my iPod out on the practice range. Thanks to Hireko Golf I fit myself with a stiffer shaft according to the 2010 Shaft Fitting Addendum. I’ve slowed my swing speed down ranging from 106-112MPH for a more controlled repeatable swing while I’m learning this new technique. I chose UST Proforce V2 75g shafts because of the quality/price and lowest Torque ratings. I’ve purchased 3 of these shafts through GolfSmith(1W, 3FW, 3Hybrid) all SSTPured and the puring stats all came back shaft label up for a perfectly repeatable plane of flexibility. If you don’t know what SSTPuring is please Google it, Tiger Woods plays Pured shafts. So simply just buy a Proforce V2 shaft and have it installed face up for best performance, they must follow extremely tight manufacturing procedures.
